MYTHS VS FACT

Myths #1: There are very few babies to adopt.

False. There are lots of babies to adopt. There may not be as many Gerber babies (a white healthy newborn) as before, but there are still plenty of babies out there. Every ethnic group is represented.

Myths #2: It takes years and years to adopt.

False. Most couples wait 12-18 months to adopt, once all of their paperwork is completed. But a lot depends on what your parameters are. If you are really picky, you will wait longer.

Myths #3: Only traditional couples can adopt.

False. Single women and same-sex couples can adopt. Every agency has their own requirements, so you just have to find an agency that will work with single women and/or same-sex couples.
